An iconic route cycled by hundreds of people every year, usually over 4 or 5 days. But how about doing it in just 1 day?

A stunning 150 mile road ride from the mountainous Western Lake District, through the Yorkshire Dales, across the flat Vale of York and finally the Northern Valleys of the North York Moors, finishing by the sea in Whitby. 

What better way to tick off this iconic cycle than by doing it in one day?

\"Having started with just an occasional bimble on a mountain bike four years ago, I now spend more time on a bike than I did as a kid and enjoy long distant rides. So, having been asked if I wanted to take on this iconic challenge, it made sense to see if I had it in me.

150 miles and 4,500m of elevation (which is equivalent to riding up mount Snowdon 4 times!), ridden over approximately 10-12 hours, such a challenge I thought, merits trying to raise some money for a great cause.

This is a one time only attempt for me and training has involved 7-10 hours a week for over 4 months.
