The JW Wood golf team were delighted to again take part in the annual golf day, held at Durham City golf club, organised by the Rotary Club, Durham Bede.  Despite being past champions in the team event our players, Paul Rickaby, Director of the Darlington Group, Richard Rafique, Commercial Director and Gary Stephenson, Darlington valuer were unsuccessful this year although they had a thoroughly enjoyable day. This years winners were Brambledown with an excellent score of 86 points.

The day was organised by JW Wood chairman Keith Johnson who was delighted that £1800 was raised, with further fundraising events planned soon. This supports Rotary with its local and international work including the eradication of polio, the Kwagala Trust supporting children in Uganda and our local hospice as well as several other local activities.
