My career in the property market began more than two decades ago, selling houses in the New Build sector, where I worked for two of the country’s biggest house builders. I came into Estate Agency in 2000 and immediately relished the different challenges this profession offers. I love being able to talk with clients, finding out what their plans are and then helping those plans materialise.
I joined JW Wood in January 2004 as Valuer at the Darlington office and was delighted to be given the opportunity to manage the Bishop Auckland office in February 2005. During my time here the property market has seen some real highs and lows, but 2013 is seeing a definite improvement in market conditions with August being this office’s best month for sales since the height of the market. Comparing the beginning of our financial year to the same period last year, we have seen an increase of 47% in legal completions.
The town of Bishop Auckland is enjoying somewhat of a revival, with the Tindale Crescent retail development and the investment of £25m in the renovation of Auckland Castle, securing the future of its Zurbaran paintings. We cover a large geographical area around Bishop Auckland, incorporating the towns of Shildon, Crook and Spennymoor and the many surrounding villages, right up towards Weardale.
JW Wood has built a reputation for being able to assist clients whatever their needs – buying, selling, letting or renting. I am really proud to work for such a trusted local company and with an enthusiastic team in branch. Whether you are looking to make your first time purchase, or you wish to move to a different property, all the staff at Bishop Auckland office are trained to help you throughout the process. With a professional yet friendly attitude from hard working and knowledgeable staff, backed up with the best IT and photographic technology, JW Wood have the expertise to make things happen for you.
